Valencia CF to begin preseason on July 6th
Valencia CF will begin the 2023/24 preseason on Thursday, July 6th, with medical tests carried out over several days at the IMEDUCV High Performance Sports Center. The players will undergo analytical tests, anthropometric studies, weight checks and complete medical examinations.
Those called in for the first day of work are Emilio Bernad, César Tárrega, Jaume Domènech, Pablo Gozálbez, Cristhian Mosquera, Javi Navarro, Javi Guerra, Alberto Marí, Diego López and Hugo Duro.
On Friday, Cristian Rivero, Thierry Correia, José Gayà, Edinson Cavani, Gabriel Paulista, Samu Castillejo, Dimitri Foulquier, Fran Pérez, Marcos André, Jesús Vázquez, Martín Tejón, Hugo González, Ali Fadal, Mario Domínguez and Koba Leïn will join the examinations.
On Monday 10th, Cenk, Eray Cömert, Yunus Musah, Uros Racic and Diakhaby will come in. The rest of the club's internationally capped players will gradually be added to the group from that day on.
The first friendly will be played on Tuesday, July 18th, against Nottingham Forest, at 7pm -a training match behind closed doors at the Antonio Puchades. Subsequently, on Friday, July 21st, the squad will travel to Slovakia to play in the Centenary of FC Spartak Trvnava at the Antona Malatinského Stadium (6pm), while from July 23-26 they will hold a camp at the Spiserwies facilities in the Swiss town of St. Gallen, where they will play on Tuesday, July 25th against FC St. Gallen 1879, at 8pm.
Back in Valencia, Rubén Baraja's men will have another training match, on Saturday, July 29th, against Deportivo Alavés (7pm) at the Antonio Puchades Stadium, while they will end preseason with the 51st edition of the Trofeo Naranja on August 5th. This is the last friendly before the start of the LaLiga season against Sevilla FC on Friday, August 11th, and will take place at Mestalla, against Aston Villa.
